How to invest
Two ways to invest, once the funds open.
Both routes are for accredited investors in Alberta, British Columbia and Ontario, with a minimum first investment of $25,000. Neither is available until the funds launch.
Two routes
Through your advisor, or directly with Calterra
Through your advisor
-
Talk to your advisor
The funds are designed to sit where your portfolio already holds income, dividend or growth funds, and your advisor can judge that fit against your plan.
-
Read the offering documents
Your advisor will be able to request them from Calterra, or you can.
-
Purchase on Fundserv
Your advisor will confirm you qualify, then buy. The funds will settle like any other fund your advisor transacts, and will be eligible for RRSP, RRIF, TFSA, RESP and LIRA accounts.
Directly with Calterra
-
Start a conversation
Calterra is registered as an exempt market dealer in Alberta, British Columbia and Ontario, and will be able to deal directly with investors who qualify under those rules.
-
Confirm eligibility
The funds will be offered under a prospectus exemption, which means accredited investors only. We’ll walk through what that means for you before anything else happens.
-
Read, then subscribe
Offering documents first, always. If the fit is right, subscription paperwork is straightforward and we handle it with you.
The six-month window
One thing with a shelf life.
Series FS will be open to all investors for six months from launch. After that it takes $20 million in aggregate holdings, from one investor or across an advisor’s clients, and Series F will become the route for smaller positions.1
Before any of that
Whether it fits comes before how to buy it.
That is the better first question and the one we would rather answer. Write to us and a person replies.
